Screencast.com helps users manage their videos, images, presentations, documents, and other digital content. They will be able to organize their digital content by creating folders in Screencast.com’s content library. In addition, content found in different folders can be shared as a single group by creating playlists.

The solution also makes it easy for users to transfer a content from one folder to another. If they want to update a video, image, or any digital content, Screencast.com lets them replace the old file with a new one without the need of creating a new link. Thus, they will be able to share the updated file using the same link provided for the old file.

View And Edit Content Information

As users organize their content, Screencast.com enables users to view and sort them based on different characteristics or statistics such as the upload date, number of views, size of file, or the amount of bandwidth used by a particular content. Also, they will be able to edit information like the creator, title, or description of the content.

Set Privacy Levels For Content

Additionally, users can set how their content will be accessed by viewers. They can make a content publicly by sharing a link of their library. Through such link,  viewers will be able to access all content files found in the library that are not stored in folders or playlists. In order for viewers to access those content files found in folders and playlists, they need to have the URLs of the content. Users are also given the option to set passwords for their content or to let viewers undergo authentication before they can access them.

Upload And Share

In terms of uploading digital content, Screencast.com provides users with three ways to upload their content. One of them is the ability to upload content directly from Snagit or Camtasia. If the file size of their content is smaller than 100 MB, they have to use its Web Uploader. Meanwhile, Screencast.com’s Mac or Windows Desktop Uploader is needed for uploading content with a file size larger than 100 MB.

The software solution lets users share their content by copying and pasting a URL, embedding the content in a blog or website, or sending an email invitation which has a clickable link. As an example, they can embed folders or playlists on a website using the MediaRoll, an embedded widget. This widget then displays the content of those folders or playlists on the website using an RSS feed. When new content is added to the folders or playlists, the MediaRoll shows it immediately.

Add Captions To Videos

Screencast.com also allows users to add captions to their videos. This feature is very useful in situations when viewers are experiencing audio issues which make consuming of the content difficult for them. Through the aid of its Caption Editor, users will be able to add captions to their videos, and manage them. Also, the solution enables them to import caption files they created using other programs or export the captions they have in Screencast.com to be used by other programs.
