Teamcenter is great product

What are the best aspects of this product?

Thanks to Teamcenter there is no need for code customization, the configuration is simple and this product makes everything perfect. The process of writing custom extensions in C or Java is understandable and robust. The New Active Workspace helps us with fringe users who are not included into the system. It offers simple Windows 8 like web-client.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The performance of the main client is not great when it comes to remote sites but on the other hand is still useful. We recently switched database systems because Oracle RAc on IBM systems it’s not supported. Teamcenter is made to run on engineering hardware. Taking the system down so we can implement some changes can be really frustrating.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Everyone in our company has installed PLM solution. In the past we have used other PLM solutions that were not connected. This tool helps us to enforce the global process, to change and improver the management and to complete the lifecycle management.
