What are the best aspects of this product?
Being a developer, one of the most boring things to do when developing is content creation changes. CMS was able to resolve this issue by lifting off the burden from the developer and giving the responsiblity back to content managers. A majority of CMSs who do this wind up failing and going back to doing the changes themselves. But that's not the case with Sitefinit as its UI is easy for content managers to make the necessary changes.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
One the biggest things I hate with Sitefinity is its pricing. Clearly, it's not intended for SMBs. It would left a lot of my clients outside the box. Another downside with its is that the base of the product is on its web forms. Thing is, they've actually made headway within the MVC space (although it's not purely an MVC product).
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
A majority of the problems I've been resolving with Sitefinity are content related. A majority of my clients have trouble getting their content maintained. Sitefinity resolved their issues. I've been working with other projects involving a pro-active online community, which helped the business communicate with consumers and getting them to share their suggestions and ideas.
