What are the best aspects of this product?
I like its UI. This makes it all the more simple in creating new pages, dragging content modules into them, doing site architecture, and tinkering with configuration options (as required). As a developer, it can be can be easy in adding customized components that end users can deal with. The current web service architecutre can be leverage to help make customized services that suit my needs.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
Its CodeSync tool is avaialble for my working needs. It appears as if the versioning won't play nicely when you're making use of a code that's housed in bitbucket. Or when you're dealing with a multi-user team who are tasked in working and deploying updates. In the end, I had to go back to the xcopy-deploy process.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
I've been using Sitefinity in creating a fresh site for a customer. The site should be easy enough for modifying conent and managing a large number of pages. I've been making use of customized widgets as well as modules. This was purposely done to tie in third-party database for clients and offering useful content for end-users.
