WebFOCUS is an exceptional product that specializes in building reports and analytics.

What are the best aspects of this product?

It wasn’t too hard for my staff and me to learn how to use WebFOCUS. We can create and customize any reports without the need to undergo the rigorous process of pulling up, downloading, and collating data from multiple sources (which we do currently have). Now we are trying to come up with ways on how to expedite and improve some of our current processes. That includes changing our Business Intelligence platform by switching to WebFOCUS. The feedback coming from most of the employees was very overwhelming and heartwarming at the same time. WebFOCUS is so user friendly that it doesn’t take for you to be a tech genius to figures things out and how to make significant changes in the application. There is a team behind this BI that you can always count on for any significant challenges that you may encounter. I want to continue working using WebFOCUS because it makes reporting more reliable and trustworthy.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Our company has been using WebFOCUS BI for more than a year already, and I have noticed that it is quite high maintenance to deal with. Adding a couple of upgrades as per client requests is somehow necessary, but it comes with a price. Maybe they can work on adjusting the costs to entice the majority of their clients to continue doing business with them.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

There is no need to micro-manage every aspect of our business because we have created metrics and KPI’s to quantify our progress. Through the help of WebFOCUS, we were able to come up with a list of reports for everything that we need. From attendance, attrition, performance targets, and sales, we can provide real-time figures to remind our staff about what needs to be done to hit and exceed business targets.
