PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

balancing bank statement seems good but its not set up to work on a monthly statement like the rest of the world...so you never really know where things are at without more work. the way it brings bank info into the process is pretty good though.

Over all...its just an OK product...it gets the job done, but nothing killer here folks.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

if you create an invoice and take a partial payment...there is no way to ever edit that invoice in the future without undoing the payment...recreating the invoice...then recreating the payment and re-reconciling everything. And if that payment was associated with a big deposit...you also have to re reconcile all the other payments on that deposit.

This is totally insane and a deal breaker to many users.

My accountant seems to dread working with it.

What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?

Stop ignoring the request to have the ability to edit an invoice. This is 2019 and people been asking for the ability to more easily edit invoices for years! I am no fan of Intuit, but Quickbooks lets you edit invoices without a hiccup.

Was really disappointed when they got rid of their payroll service. It also was not an awesome service, but did the job at a price I was willing to pay and that was one of the reasons I went with them at the beginning, so it was a let down to have it go away.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

The only reason I use Xero at this point, is that it works mostly... or at least sometimes, in conjunction with my online booking software to avoid double entry of guest.

sometimes... Xero saves double entry time, but over all, QB has better reporting and is sometimes easier to use.
