PROS: Easy to use admin interface coupled with a simple end user XP. High degree of product reliability and performance has allowed us to rely on this product for continuous operation 24/7 365 days of the year. A very fast and responsive dedicated support manager has been essential element in developing our trust in relying on this product.

CONS: Visibility on the versioning and history of 3rd party content uploaded could be improved, some facets of the basic reporting tool and better knowledge in relation to API connectivity but these are relatively minor and many are being are addressed in the rolling product upgrades

PROS: Can do almost everything ourselves without requiring Absorb support, the system is very intuitive

CONS: It would be great if all admins could design their own dashboards and if the roles could be totally customised rather than have some features always on/off. Teams integration in the same way we can for zoom

PROS: Having the ability to allow different sets of users to see different sets of training courses. We can tailor what each group can and can't see making it easy to manage several clients under the same roof. The Client Success Manager working relationship has been incredible. It allows me to bounce thoughts and ideas back and forth with a consistent contact to find a solution.

CONS: Getting the "perfect" report is sometimes a bit tricky. There are fields in one section that I can't access in another section so I need to create 2 separate reports and then combine them. But, the data is there.

PROS: The ability to customize the homepage to brand and the level of customer service you get. Every person we've engaged with is incredibly professional and helpful.

CONS: The reporting is a bit clunky but I know they are working to improve it and I don't think it's any worse than any other platform out there. It's just a little finicky at times to get exactly what you need. Too many clicks for the user to access a course - don't love that.

PROS: The user interface is incredibly intuitive and user friendly making for an inviting platform that promotes engagement rather than frustration like many complex LMSs do. Having migrated to Absorb from a different LMS platform, the support and guidance provided throughout the migration process was top-notch. Our onboarding specialist was not only responsive to all inquiries but also provided a solutions-focused approach to unique needs of our organization.

CONS: The response time for submitted Support Tickets is lengthy lessening my confidence level of an issue being resolved quickly.

PROS: I love how the Admin Interface is easy to navigate even if you are learning how to use an LMS for the first time. It is hard to "break" thing by mistake.

CONS: I would like to see updated Absorb Academy learning courses. When I am trying to use a feature for the first time, I usually check out the short video to see if it offers help. They are outdated and could use some love.

PROS: As a fast-growing, small/mid-sized tech company, one of the things that we like about Absorb is that it's easy to use at our current size, but is also scalable. It's not an easy task to find products that aren't overly complicated for our current needs but that we can also trust to scale with us as we grow. As a software and data quality engineering company, we have high expectations for the products that we use internally. When looking for a learning management system, we reviewed several and were surprised to find that many of them had functional and design bugs. We can tell by the quality of their product that the Absorb team cares about the customer experience and their development team pays attention to the details. For a company as fast-paced as ours, we don't have the time to get stuck on hold or lost in phones mazes before we finally reach a 3rd party support person who doesn't know the product and has to read from a script. The top-notch, personalized support ecosystem that Absorb has is comprised of in-house team members who know the product and understand how we're using it. We can get answers fast with minimal interruptions to our workflow. This alone makes them a standout from the competition in our opinion. In addition, the Learner and Admin interfaces are customizable, clean, easy on the eyes and are clearly built by a team that values innovation and human-centered design.

CONS: The built-in Absorb Academy learning paths for admins and instructors are great, but the external knowledge base isn't particularly robust or well-organized. Fortunately, they let us know that that an update is currently in-progress. This isn't really a big deal for us because whenever we can't find an answer in the knowledge base, we just email our dedicated support manager and always get a quick reply. The only other thing that has been problematic so far is that the process for adding 3rd party courses (e.g. LinkedIn Learning) to the catalogue is a bit clunky and time-consuming.

PROS: Unlike other learning management systems that are too complex and rigid, have a steep learning curve and many unusable features, Absorb LMS is very easy to use and has just enough functionality. The application is also cheaper compared to the leading LMS such as Cornerstone, Saba, SumTotal. This could be because it is a simplified system. We use it to track the use of informal learning content. The application functions well on the web as well as in the mobile deployment becuase of it's responsive interface. More so it has a good in built e-commerce engine that makes it great for companies that sell content.

CONS: There are a couple of disadvantages. First, you need to have technical experience or hire an expert to use Absorb. Second, the application has no minimal interface for creating branded interface. Third, unlike other vendors, Absorb does not provide a built-in social learning module. It is designed to work with third party social tools. This could be an advantage or disadvantage depending on how you use socila learning. Lastly, it is nor a talent management system but a pure learning management system, so if you are looking for a talent management system look elsewhere.
