What are the best aspects of this product?
Acumatica is an easy-to-launch and easy-to-use ERP system. Getting it up and running had been relatively quick--we were able to access the program along with its library of resources in just a matter of minutes. The Sales Demo data and peer support within the community are very accessible too. Our staff has found the Visual Studio particularly useful and easy to manipulate.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
The costing is a bit tricky. I run the Sales Order (SO) and Purchase Order (PO) and define them under the First In-First Out (FIFO) method. In times when I need these variables to run with the Actual Specific, Acumatica seems to have a hard time shifting gears from FIFO to SO-PO.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
We've been using our legacy system for so long that its workflow has become so ingrained into our office workflow. Despite this ease, we can only do so much in boosting its functionalities to keep up with the times. Acumatica, on the other hand, is this modern and shiny new platform. Although we've established our roots in our legacy software, we knew when it was time to shift to a more solid and modern technology. So far, we've been able to marry the framework of our legacy software into Acumatica's environment, and it's working great.
