What are the best aspects of this product?
I like that it works better for NFPs, compared to Quickbooks. It's also user-friendly and easy to install. We are able to import all contacts and their donations, as well as file our 990 using Aplos. Their support team is very responsive to our concerns. We're able to become more organized and use the data we need on a case by case basis. It's also affordable and effective.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
It would be helpful if the query feature, which is already great in itself, can be further improved by including all available fields in the system. The reports can use an upgrade too. It has all the necessary basics but lacks one about Comparative Income Statements for the previous year. It would also be great to add notes and attach schedules in the Budget tool. Combining the dashboard for Volunteer Management, Donor Management and Accounting would also be great. The email tool is comparable to other more popular tools with a plus on being a time saver. It would also be great if there is an indicator for donations that have already been acknowledged.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
Aplos solved our issues about time. We now have more time for other tasks and are more prompt in getting our financials out and acknowledging donors. We are also able to cull information from our directory a lot more quickly because it's so easy to use.
