What are the best aspects of this product?
I handle the accounting of several organizations and my usual weapons of choice are Quickbooks, MS Money, and Quicken. These are the go-to tools that provide me with the best and complete support. However, when I was tasked to handle the accounting of a small non-profit organization, I decided to try out the free version for Aplos. I've heard good reviews about it and I wanted to see if it lived up to its good reputation. So I started to set it up and was pleasantly surprised to note that this went by like a breeze. What's even more pleasantly surprising is that there is an instant messaging section integrated into its dashboard. Whenever I run into an issue or hit walls, I can quickly send an instant message to the Aplos team. They're very responsive and helpful too. Cut to a year later and I'm still using this robust tool for accounting. I can even file 990s through this platform now. I love that APlos is constantly improving and responding to the times with their updates. Good job, team!
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
There are a lot of aspects about Aplos that take up too much time to work with. For example, it cannot update books by batch. And we still have to manage separate logins for donors and fund managers too.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
Aplos has provided me and my organization the swift and simple solution for accounting and handling of books. Thanks to this tool, we have successfully managed our donations in the past year or so. The team working for them have been really helpful and I cannot thank them enough for their contribution to our growth.
