What are the best aspects of this product?

With Confluence it is very easy and fast to create new articles from scratch or from template, organise them and search for a particular content. All controls are intuitive and you don't need to read the documentation or undergo training. "Watch" function helps you to keep up with updates in the entire knowledge space.
Confluence is very well integrated with other Atlasssian solutions, like JIRA.
Personal spaces of users can be used as private notebooks that are versioned and securely stored in the cloud.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

User access configuration is not very flexible. For instance, you cannot configure access for some users for editing templates without granting them Administrator role.
Table formatting functionality is limited and in some cases non user-friendly. As an example, if you want to justify the text in the middle column to the centre it will move the whole table to the centre of the page.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We are solving a problem of documenting our software solution. In this case, the benefit of using Confluence is that documentation is up-to-date because of easiness of applying new changes. Moreover, all interested parties are immediately informed about the changes being made.
Moreover, we use confluence to discuss problems online and make the right decisions based on proper collaboration.
