Easy to use information portal

What are the best aspects of this product?

I like the simple user interface that makes it easy to access all the information you need. You can easily share pages with your team members and they can receive updates as soon as you modify the data. The Spaces feature ensures specific areas don’t get cluttered and overflow with info. The page creation functions resemble MS Office apps which makes it easy to work within a page. Plus, you can attach DOC, XLS, PDF files, etc. to a page and launch it immediately.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The one issue with email updates is if multiple updates are done to a page, then your inbox is flooded with email updates about the changes. It would be better if the app sends a summary email informing about all the changes or some such similar feature.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We use Confluence as a storehouse where we can archive information about our daily tasks and procedures. All the info is easily accessible in a central location and we can use it to educate others so that they can fill in for another employee who has taken a vacation. I use the personal spaces feature to maintain to-do lists, notes, etc. for my personal use. The feature reminds me about the tasks I need to do and also to double check if I’ve completed all the required work.
