We have great experience with Confluence

What are the best aspects of this product?

I have used other tool for content management, but we have found out that Confluence is perfect solution for our company and we started using it. I like that there are lot of templates available that are institutional related. I’m able to set-up notes, to use calendar system for some projects and to use templates for this purposes.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

It can be complicated to set up permissions but maybe this is because of our Windows Authentication scheme.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

This is knowledge based solution. We used to work with excel file, word documents with notes and emails and to save files in different servers. Thankfully, with Confluence we are able to put all notes into searchable format and to link with others. I can easily find what I’m looking for even revisions to documents. We use it for collaborative notes to identify individual collaborators.
