What are the best aspects of this product?
Being an international software vendor, we like the ability to sell our software online in different countries with different currencies, with languages support that is used by our customers. The interface is straightforward to use with useful features. We spent little more money to get our SalesForce integration set up, but it was reasonable. We have never regretted that we move to Avangate, because it cut our costs dramatically and wound up with new opportunities. Before Avangate, we were investing in various e- commerce implementations.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
It supports only software, but not hardware device that we sell as an accessory to our management’s classroom software. We would like full responsive shopping cart design option, because it is very limited. Because of Avangate being based in Europe, the banks add extra charges to customer credit cards. Even though they were able to fix that problem, but it took awhile to get through the right people.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
We needed an e-commerce solution to sell our software on the Internet and we did not need to develop or edit by ourselves, so Avangate is a great solution because we made a very minimal investment and we added a variety of products and purchasing models over time. The benefit is that the profit goes up and up!
