What are the best aspects of this product?
Ever since we started rolling out this software a couple years back, we evidently fell in love with it. Whether it's from collaboration to tracking applicants, sending out offer letters, we no longer need to do things on paper. Our very own middle managers get to look into their crews any time, celebrate events with employees, and organize performance reviews with Bamboo.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
I was in need of a system containing benefits integration. When I kicked things off with Bamboo, the only option was Maxwell. That ended up becoming a complete mess. It took several months of trying just to get the system up. Then I was told that they don't have any integration with our insurnace carrier. So I'd still end up doing paper apps. I ended up scratching the whole thing!
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
I'm no longer keeping spreadsheets for the sake of storing information on employees birthdays, anniversaries, contact details, and completed/expired training. Currently, we have collaborative ATS for both HR and hiring managers that also extacts EEO data. Having the org chart is useful for new hires in putting faces to names when they make their initial hire.
