What are the best aspects of this product?
We were using Yahoo (current Aabaco) for almost ten years, and knowing how technology had advanced in the meanwhile, we wanted a fresh start. The process of finding a new app didn't take too long, as we were recommended to take BigCommerce by a friend right when Yahoo sold the app to Aabaco, so we decided there is nothing left to think about. The choice we made was smart, let me explain you why: BigCommerce is local to us (Austin, Texas), it is affordable and friendly to use, and has incredibly good customer support. They are the ones eager to develop your business, and they suggest ideas you'd never come across yourself. We felt confident to let them handle our financial liifeline, and we have no security concerns so far. The only thing I regret is not discovering the platform sooner.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
Migration was not that easy, and it took them a while to correct things for us. We started with a regular payment plan, but it took 3 months to activate it, and we spent something like $1300 because we didn't pay attention to the agreement. But guess what happened there? Instead of keeping quiet about it, they notified us, and offered a pause plan in order to finish adjustment without paying a dime. How awesome is that?
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
Yahoo didn't offer that many options, it was long outdated by the time we decided to explore opportunities. We used BigCommerce to refresh our website, and to make it more user-friendly and functional. Once again, I'll highlight their great customer service, you don't to work with these guys every day!
