What are the best aspects of this product?
Brandwatch is a leader in query writing, especially when you compare it to competitive enterprise-suitable analytic systems. Does excellent monitoring, and you can rely on it completely both in terms of operations and support. I can see there were some top notch designers in charge of the interface, because I don't understand how a tool can be so simple and so helpful at the same time.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
It was a struggle to think of a bad side, as the product really doesn't have any. If I have to be nit picky, I'd probably go for some improvements, social coverage most of all. Still, I've confirmed it even before that making a source request to the company will be enough for them to give you the feature you want, so I'm not particularly worried. They could work a bit on the spam filter, and eventualy sentiment analysis, even if the core of the problem is the industry itself, not them.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
Our agency monitors and analyzes social media for various companies, which makes it imperative to report accurately, and build usable product share-of-voice dashboards. Our clients are more than satisifed by our campaign and community management, the same as audience profiling, and we use Brandwatch's Bandwidth Audience (a new tool they introduced in their PeerIndex).
