What are the best aspects of this product?
I've seen for myself that Brandwatch can do miracles for accountants and managers, most of all because it has an amazing customer care team that knows what it is doing. I would recommend it to any team in need of audience segmentation, not just because it is fast and simple, but also because it provides analytic methods no other system can offer. I mean, you simply get to see the whole picture of how you're doing on social networks, and everything is automatically calculated. Personally, I've reduced time despite of the learning curve I had to surpass, and that's because the support team provided a step-by-step training to help me.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
The learning curve, of course. It's not that Brandwatch is so difficult, but it is simply different than other segmentation systems, and experience can't help too much with it. Knowing how demanding research can be, I skipped learning about it, and now I'm using Brandwatch for social monitoring only.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
We have many different types of clients, which made it impossible for us to develop a unified approach towards campaign monitoring and influencer segmentation, at last until we discovered Brandwatch. Currently, we're using their SocioQual (a unique tool for ethnology and qualitative research) to provide businesses with a complete portfolio of their customers, and Brandwatch is just cut for the purpose.
