PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

The setup part is very easy. Subscribing is seamless. But, think again. The sales part is almost always efficient.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Everything else related to the service is terrible. After-sales aspects are plainly intolerable. CallHippo is a scam. I bought credits so I could receive inbound calls. The minimum amount is $30. In less than a month, the credits drained to about $8.48 without receiving any calls intended for my startup. Yes, CallHippo charges your account for every inbound call received, even those that are misdialled or purposely routed by CallHippo to your supposedly "premium" number. I tried calling one of these numbers. The person at the other end of the line categorically denied that he ever made a call to my number.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

None. At first, I intended to have a virtual number for clients of my startup. In less than a month, and before I was even able to hand out call cards to potential clients, I receive several inbound calls a day from unsolicited sources. I was pissed to see my credits slowly eaten away by these "unintended" inbound calls. It surely looks like a scheme that CallHippo uses to force you to add credits.
