What are the best aspects of this product?
We use Campaign Monitor to manage more than 40 clients. Many clients use a franchise model and this allows us to segment templates and location lists with a client type. This helps us save a lot of time spent monitoring and duplicating campaigns across the nation. The vendor offers flexible pricing packages as well as fantastic customer support. They always answer within an hour. Their Canvas Builder helps to automatically resolve issues with mobile displays.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
There are plenty of issues: I cannot find third party templates that offer what I need. Most do not work well or are too basic. The Canvas Builder can be more customizable. I wish I was able to add unsubscribe options in the main menu and more dynamic header content. The list imports do not scrub bad domain names. I get a domain bounce when someone types the domain name wrongly in the email. Instead, I wish there was a prompt to get the error fixed. Plus, the reporting could be improved to help me identify trends across a range of clients/emails. Broad analytics can help me identify the best subject lines over a time period, instead of depending on A/B testing.
