What are the best aspects of this product?

It is a great backup tool for all our data. We receive data in real time and the auto backup functionality is of huge benefit to us. We are able to concentrate on other productive areas as we know that the update and backup of data is taken care of. On the system, you can schedule or set up which folders should be backed up and those which should not be backed up. It works on its own to ensure data security is achieved without manually getting involved. This form of backup is what we love the most for Carbonite.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

It has a few things that need addressing. When it comes to backing up data for the first time, it can take a lot of time. Although this is expected as it is the first time and you have a lot of data and files to backup it can be disappointing. Luckily, it picks up speed after this. Also, it experiences downtimes every now and then, which slows down the operation or backup of the system. Although those downtimes do not happen too often, when they do they bring with them delays in the backup of data in real time. The support was not as good we expected.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

For business related problems, Carbonite has helped us to solve the problem of data backup. We can ensure that our financial data is safely updated in case it gets lost. We can be rest assured with the help of automatic backup that the data we receive is backed up in a secure storage. Apart from the financial data, we can safely keep or store the information of our customers in the system. It updates and backs up that data as soon as it is generated. Business aside, this tool has become a reliable product in terms of keeping the family history in check. We can use it to backup family photos such that in case of a disaster, those photos are kept safe.
