What are the best aspects of this product?
Changepoint is packed with features and offers all that is needed for a professional services company to operate efficiently. You have to search for all the features but after you learn to use them you’ll see it is a capable product. It helps us cover all the bases. It was a bit difficult but we managed to resolve the app’s limitations to use what we need.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
The user interface of this project management software is buggy, inconsistent, and dated. The product is difficult to use and the features sometimes behave weirdly. We managed to create workarounds and our own reporting to resolve the issues posed by the Report Builder. You are presented too many fields to do even simple tasks. It is difficult to customize the app to your requirements. The vendor needs to improve the user experience and also provide project control features. Reporting with other solutions is difficult because of the underlying data model. The provided Cognos layer also has the same issues. We worked around the problems but reporting is a little slow at times because of the performance problems.
