What are the best aspects of this product?

I love how easy it is to communicate. This holds true on certain records. It's useful in tagging groups and users within Chatter posts. You can even make use of hashtags in forging topics.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I dislike the fact that you have zero control on the group alert settings. Thing is, the "Announcement" tool does provide a box to checking and sending it in the form of an e-mail for all members within the group. I hate how there's no way in viewing groups that a user is currently in from their user record. Although you can still see info directly from their Chatter profile.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I've been using Chatter a majority of the time for a Help and Training Group. This is where I typically post system info and swiftly do updates/help documents. I'm pushing user to do their collaborations there in solving issues. This actually helps me shave off time each day!
