PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

Its update status to sourcing information. That is, making inquiries and acquiring advice instead of sending out a blast e-mail. Passing on content that other users might see as something worthy. The great thing with Chatter is that everything can be searched.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Issues with mobile functionality. I'm currently using Android and there's no Chatter app available. This greatly resstricts Chatter use while I'm on the road. Private messaging is absent.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Archiving and managmement of information can eaisly be done through tags. Similar to how Twitter operates, Chatter makes use of hashtags for searching, monitoring, and keeping track of topics/trends that appear to matter or are have relevance to you. It fosters and helps in the growth of relationships. It keeps individuals informated what you're currently doing and keeping in tune with what they're really up to through subscription to individuals, accounts, and opportunities.
