What are the best aspects of this product?
I love that I can use CiviCRM to create forms for users to sign up, have both paid and free events, can do mass emailing without paying extra, and even do memberships. I use it for my organization where I have employees and volunteers contacting people. I can keep track of all their interactions in the system.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
There are a few glitches. Upgrading can be difficult and you need to start with a new database and import in all your SQL. Plus, I face issues sometimes and cannot find adequate support to resolve them.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
We use CiviCRM for a range of tasks: For political groups and non-profits, we send bulk email, have sign-ups for events, lawn signs, and to endorse candidates, take online donations, and collect volunteer info. I also use it to organize events and collect money via Authorize.net, PayPal, etc. Non-profits can use CiviCRM to manage their membership programs. For businesses, we use the app for bulk email, memberships, and paid events.
