What are the best aspects of this product?

Clarizen goes beyond the limits of traditional collaboration, not just because it is cloud-based, but also because it is an amazingly adaptive and flexible project management software. I mean, the possibility to personalize it to your brand is almost surreal, and resembles somehting you've created on your own, not a program you've bought and customized. On top of it, managing projects with it is very efficient, and the time factor has almost no influence over it. This being said, Clarizen is the most flexible product we have in office right now, and it has set the standards quite high for other programs as well.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

During the last few months, they've made things for end users pretty cumbersome and difficult-they've invested so much effort to make 6.0 customizable that it resulted in a serious loss of screen real estate, and endangered functionality. It is not that bad yet, but I'm afraid that if they go on like this, they'll edn up offering a 'developers only' product. To be completely honest, I think that even developers would find customization cumbersome by then, unless they know a bit of HTML programming, or if they're relying on Clarizen for some trivial stuff that don't matter so much.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We're imporving more than our project management-we're improving our entire project execution! Clarize has been (and still is) our basic collaboration environment, where all heads gather to think of a clever solution. Obviously, we get to plan resources better as we know exactly what each project requires, and we're all updated on time with ad hoc reports.
