What are the best aspects of this product?
It's potential to be an effective presentation option for live and online sales presentations. When I could use their service, I thought their open tracking feature and presentation open alerting was really useful.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
Their stealthy auto-renew billing practices are draconian, and if they sold software to consumers, their failure to notify in advance of credit card charge attempts would be illegal in many states. Their solution does not work well in most corporate environments where internet access is restricted or slow - as most are these days. Their video playback syncing is very glitchy to the point of being unusable in most circumstances, and there are just better online screen sharing meeting options out there. Oh, and Clearslide's customer service is among the worst in the industry.
What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?
I would love to see the product actually work with 90% reliability. I would like to see a caching mechanism employed to better play back and sync multi-media presentation from multiple online or online + offline sources. I would also like to see them vastly improve their customer success services because they are virtually useless.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
Unfortunately none. we could not use the service for a variety of reasons and when we informed them of all the reasons why they continued to re-bill our corporate card for multiple years without alerting us.
