What Problems Will ClearSlide Solve?

Scenario 1

Email is commonly used for breaking-in with prospects, as well as following up with customers. But, it’s challenging to know when and how to follow-up when there is no visibility into how customers have engaged. Did they get it? Did they look at it?

With ClearSlide, salespeople can quickly and easily email their sales content to prospects and customers using a customized link, which allows them to:

  • Eliminate the risk of delivery problems that happens with heavy attachments, like getting stuck in the firewall
  • Gain insight into the engagement with their content

By using a link, ClearSlide will be able to send the salesperson an instant alert that their content has been opened. ClearSlide also provides alerts when the collateral has been forwarded, providing visibility into how the content is diffusing throughout the organization. Additionally, ClearSlide will provide them with page-by-page-by-second analytics of exactly what the customer looked at.

ClearSlide customers use Email Pitch both while generating pipeline and as part of their closing activities. On the front end of the sales process, they are more successful prospecting because they can prioritize hot leads based on who is engaging with their materials, rather than wasting time following up cold. During closing, salespeople use ClearSlide to send out their proposals so that they can have insight into what is happening within the customers’ organization in order to get the deal signed

Scenario 2

Hosting a remote meeting through web conferencing solutions is a great way to more efficiently connect with customers, saving time and travel costs. Unfortunately, these solutions can present some challenges. Technical problems in starting the meeting are common. Some platforms require software installation, up-to-date plug-ins or complicated login credentials. This eats into valuable selling time, or sometimes requires the meeting to be rescheduled. Also, because content lives outside of the platform, it’s not easy to switch gears and address questions.

ClearSlide provides the ability to present content remotely through Live Pitch. Live Pitch allows salespeople to start their presentation in just one click and customers can join their meeting easily, with no technology. Each user is provided with a customized link from which they can present everything from Presentations to high definition video to a live screen share. The viewer can participate simply by typing the URL into their browser. They are not required to download software or plugins to view a presentation.

All of the salesperson’s collateral is accessible from a drop-down menu in the presentation screen. This allows them to be audible-ready—they can answer questions and objections on-the-fly, and the viewer never sees their navigation. Viewers simply experience the content and the conversation. Similarly, the salesperson is able to seamlessly jump to any slide within the presentation, again without the viewer seeing their navigation.

ClearSlide includes security features for when salespeople are presenting sensitive information. They can set an access code that the viewer must enter in order to join the presentation. ClearSlide will automatically generate a code, or the salesperson can set a custom code, like their customer’s name, for the meeting

Clearslide’s analytics can help sales leaders be more effective by providing them with actionable data to have meaningful conversations with their team. With ClearSlide analytics, they can:

Pros: It is easy to send email pitches and one of the highlights is the live presentation feature. I use ClearSlide every day to do demos for my clients. I also send out mass emails to thousands of customers simultaneously. I was using Webex before, but ClearSlide is a much better app.

Cons: The live presentation feature does not seem to be working properly. You have to try a few times and it stalls sometimes. Because of this issue, I was not able to finish a presentation for a client. To be fair, the problem could be with my network and not with ClearSlide.

Pros: It's potential to be an effective presentation option for live and online sales presentations. When I could use their service, I thought their open tracking feature and presentation open alerting was really useful.

Cons: Their stealthy auto-renew billing practices are draconian, and if they sold software to consumers, their failure to notify in advance of credit card charge attempts would be illegal in many states. Their solution does not work well in most corporate environments where internet access is restricted or slow - as most are these days. Their video playback syncing is very glitchy to the point of being unusable in most circumstances, and there are just better online screen sharing meeting options out there. Oh, and Clearslide's customer service is among the worst in the industry.
