What are the best aspects of this product?
Dealing with receipts can be a daunting task. You have to pin them together throughout your trip and hope that one or two does not get lost. With Concur this has been eliminated as you only need to take photos of those receipts and attach them to a report. In short, you can lose the receipts and still manage to track all those expenses provided that you have uploaded them into the product. It makes your work easier as you have little to deal with. The tool helps you to create an expense report and submit it once you conclude your trip for the purpose of reimbursement.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
It can be difficult when you want to track and record hotel expenses. This is because the rates vary every night and in every hotel. However, Concur assumes that those rates are the same. For example, when you spend in a hotel room a couple of nights, the rates may differ for those nights but this tool assumes those rates to be the same. This means that I have to go back and edit that report to disclose that difference. This also goes for when you spend the night in different hotels. Apart from that, this tool does not integrate with Tripit. It would be better if such integration was available for efficiency when it comes to using this product.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
The entire process of tracking expenses I have incurred during my travels is fast and easy to do. I can now save a lot of time when creating those claims than before. Before Concur I had to physically deal with those receipts and in some cases I had to remember all those claims. Luckily, Concur does that for me as I do not have to remember those claims anymore. I am able to spend less time dealing and preparing those expense reports as the tool captures them as they happen. The process has improved due to the efficiency the tool brings in terms of managing those expenses.
