What are the best aspects of this product?
Implementing it in today's systems is easy to do. It's an all-around answer for an online shopping cart, merchant account, online payment, and customer support. It's made well and caters payments via a phone call or online. It's intially built to accept major e-checks and credit cards. This software has backend support to ensure everyone successfully utilizes their system.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
If catering to large payment volumes (either via the internet or phone), fees would tend to get a bit steep. A fee of $0.35 is charged per transation. Mastercards and Visa are subjected to a 2.39% discount. But then again, it could be the typical amount seen in most payment processing systems today.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
Being able to operate an e-commerce site where customers can buy just about everything as well as carry out phone sales is a good thing. CyberSource is capable enough in getting this done. I haven't had much problems with the system itself. When an issue did come around, I was able to resolve them on my own.
