What are the best aspects of this product?
Expensify has become like an additional staff in our organization. I can literally use it to track the mileage when driving and determine how much I have spent in the process. The mobile app offers a flexible platform on which you can manage how much you spend when you are either driving or for your business and produce reports on the same. The SmartScan helps to automatically record expenses in the system after scanning your receipt. You can easily switch between items that need invoicing and those that can be reimbursed.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
Although we are in the digital era where everything is done electronically, such technology might not be convenient for all. Such a case is with some of my clients. They want their reports to be done manually and not electronically. With the recent updates on Expensify, they eliminated the manual reports functionality. It would be better if they restored it to help me close reports and submit manually to some of my customers.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
The tool is easy to customize on how you want the reports to appear. Since I deal with different organizations which have differences on how the expense reports should look like, I can achieve this using Expensify with minimum effort. I can create categories based on the needs of the client, scan receipts and direct that to a specific category where Expensify takes over from there.
