What are the best aspects of this product?

Its user interface is easy on the eyes. It's straigtforward approach makes its simple to operate and explore through varying code repositories. Having free public repositories makes this a keeper. It comes with an excellent API that lets you control your repositories via other tools.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I was hoping it would have a bit more in terms of functionality for organizing tickets/work in its repositories. Its Waffle.IO functions well but it'll ask you to utilize a couple systems for workflow management. It'd be a nice idea to have additional support for Mercurial repositories.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

When tasking on any open source project, it's important to be part of GitHub as it's currently the bigget code hosting provider in the world. A majority of projects are being hosted and if they're not, a repository is available to redirect anhone to where it's hosted.
