GitHub is great tool even for those who do not have coding skills

What are the best aspects of this product?

One of the best things I like about GitHub is the open source platform. This tool is for almost everyone, it doesn’t require coding-skills at all, and all you have to do is to get into the GitHub repo and to participate in some other ways. As a writer you may contribute to Wiki or other documentation. I have made similar contributions in the past by making some simple changes to HTML file.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I would like to track specific aspects of GitHub repository instead of all conversations. Also, I’d like to see an option to follow non-tech discussions but I’m not really sure how they can make this happen. In addition, I’m not sure if this is available but it would be great if they could include mailing list option.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I use GitHub to share ideas with various Bitcoin projects and to track some development processes within main Bitcoin repo. Because I’m allowed to track Bitcoin repo I’m able to keep the track of the changes that are made into the protocol.
