GitHub offers great service for open source projects

What are the best aspects of this product?

I’ve been using GitHub for so long and there are lot of things that I like about this tool like its simplicity, fast UI, wonderful community and lot of people to collaborate with on open source projects. With GH’s gist we are able to easily keep and share bits of code with this software. I simply love the integrations and webhooks that this tool offers. We are able to take a look between branches, commits, to pull requests, to rename projects/username/company name or to delete them. There is a code search engine and project forking as well.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

What I don’t like is the fact that it doesn’t offer free private repositories, they could keep it free for small number of team members.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

This is great tool for hosting our PHP package and we have never run into some issues.
