What are the best aspects of this product?
GitHub can easily pull in requests and is very easy to sue. It's a must-have for a distributed group. Internet-based diffs have been a big help. The platform is also intergrated in almost every major dev ops product. By using it, you have a drop-in integration for looking into CI and hosting tools in the market.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
There's nothing to not like about GitHub. The only issue I encountered was the time when Heroku used GitHub to take down the recent server buuild pack for each code update. GitHub has been down quite a few times and for each time, it made it a little difficult to push updates to my web app as Herokus depends a lot on the platform. It's rare for GitHub to go down, but it happens once in awhile.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
GitHub gives a temporary leeway for developers to access a codebase and do a collaboration on it. I use the platform to assimilate it into integration systems. It works superbly in pushing latest tests to run through the GitHub webhooks.
