What are the best aspects of this product?
Once you enter B2B sales, a highly visible and accessible number becomes a priority, and you start facing problems with your growing sales team. Even the slightest change in the graphic is causing incredible problems (when an employee takes few hours off, for instance), and you experience a strong need to control these variations without affecting the quality of your service. That's how you come across the idea of having a centralized number, a good one, to be more precise. Translated to software terms, this means Grasshopper. The program eases every process, and provides you with an 800 number in less than 15 minutes. Believe it or not, it takes a single person to administer hundredths of calls, messages, extensions and voicemail, and he can even use a mobile app to do it on the go. I'm usinf the Android app and I've seen no difference to the desktop version, and I believe the iOS app can offer the same quality. Another huge advantage of using Grasshopper is the price-it takes only $12 to start! Additional minutes are paid, but not that much, and in case you're a mid-size B2B you can easily go with the $24 package, or 500 minutes to be precise. Finally, the UI is made to suit even the savvies user, so there is absolutely no chance to mess up.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
Grasshopper doesn't offer a free trial, which didn't make me to happy. Luckily for me, the company offered an accelerator to access a $100 trial and I could see all the benefits of the program. They will be annoying too, once you've set it up they will offer all sorts of upsales, to record messages for something like $75 or to transcribe them for $10, but obviouly you don't have to accept any of it if you don't need it.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
We manage agents pretty well, and we are dealing professionally with voicemail. Then, we offer toll-free calling, and many other benefits we couldn't take advantage of in order to improve our customers' experience.
