What are the best aspects of this product?
One of the things that I enjoy about Homebase is that it lets employees sign in and out with ease. I also like that it notifies users when their work shift is about to begin and when their break time is almost over. It is helpful as well that we can log in and out from our devices like smartphones and iPads that we have in our office. The picture captured during the process is also a nice touch, as it helps us ensure that it is really the right individual for security purposes. This can avoid employees helping each other when one colleague is going to be late to work. Homebase allows the HR team to adjust employee's timecards too whenever somebody forgets to clock in or out. It is also of great assistance to the HR department that workers can request leaves from the app and exchange shifts from the app directly. This is indeed of great help to small businesses that do not have a timeclock on their office computer.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
What I dislike about Homebase are its pricing tiers. Because you only get to access more features when you subscribe to a higher subscription package.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
Our HR has become more efficient in managing payroll and employee time. Previously, our remote and home-based employees had to monitor their working times by themselves and we had to rely on the honor system. With Homebase, we can be more accurate, as it is very effective in monitoring time.
