What are the best aspects of this product?

I have been at it with this too for long now. Since 2011, it has been my go to application when it comes to managing social media accounts. Be it posting content on different platforms to monitoring the tweets and hashtags on my social media platforms, Hootsuite has become my partner in that. I have even gone further to train my colleagues on how to utilize the features this amazing tool has. Apart from the scheduling of content it has a link shrinking feature which helps you to shrink multiple links so that you can create more space. It is also mobile compatible which means I can post videos from my mobile device on Facebook with ease.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

There is always something for any type of tool you will dislike. For the case of Hootsuite, there are a few things that I have to point out. The scheduling feature does not work on all platforms. To be precise, it is not functional on Instagram. This means that you have to do the posting of content manually on Instagram for your followers to like or comment. This can be a little disappointing but since it works fine for other platforms, it is not a lot to deal with. Also, for large size photos, it does not allow you to upload them on social media. It has a limitation on this and I would prefer posting the photos as they are instead of editing them first and then posting later.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

The biggest advantage or problem I was able to solve is time. It saves tons of time with the scheduling feature. All I have to do is schedule posts and leave it to the system to post them automatically depending on the date or time I have indicated. This allows me to do many things on the side and thus makes my work easier. There is the need to have more time to do other things than sitting on a desk on a daily basis posting content for your followers. It allows me to come in after a week or so and schedule more posts for the following weeks. Apart from that, the mobile application makes my work flexible as I can post content when travelling.
