What are the best aspects of this product?
I like a lot of things about Hootsuite, but my favorite feature is definitely the software Auto Scheduling. It was a recent, pleasant surprise by the company, finally fulfilling my wish to assign posts with specific posting times (and letting the program decide on it!). From what I've seen, these posts reach larger audiences than the ones I schedule manually. I can't explain why, but statistically, they do. Another cool feature is Teams, where you get to see who mentioned a post or replied a message. It serves to eliminate multiple posts at once, that's also good.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
They don't seem too keen on developing, at least in the integration sense. There are many networks waiting to join, most of them eventually turning to another program (Sprout Social integrated Instagram Scheduling, and we're still waiting). I would also go for a better-looking dashboard, this one is a bit outdated. Dull colors, plenty of columns, and an overall confusion of where you are and what you're doing. They should lift some customization up, that's definite.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
As a media organization that produces and spreads large content on different programs, we perceive Hootsuite to be the decision of our business's lifetime. With or without Instagram integration, this is the best social interaction/scheduling tool among the programs I've seen before. We build lists, create follower groups, and we produce admirable content to share with utmost pride.
