PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

Hubspot offers free tutorials and training that help users understand web marketing. The CRM is free and some basic features come with a $50/month subscription. So there are a few benefits for those who don't have large budgets.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

My sense is that they don't really know how to accommodate a small business user. Hubspot's pricing ramps very rapidly and, unless you are committed to spending 10x from the entry level, few of the effective benefits they offer are really available. We also found that their technical support didn't really answer the questions. When we asked something, we always got back a link with the implied RFM mentality. The problem is that the links address generic questions and they are sometimes stale.

What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?

Hubspot needs to categorize their benefits by the size of their client. I don't deny that Hubspot has powerful features, but those features really aren't cost effective for any but those who are willing to spend a lot of money.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We got a better understanding of web marketing.
