What are the best aspects of this product?
IBM expanded tremendously since their acquisition. The platform used to carry out e-mail marketing very well. But ever since the acquisition, the product came out with guns blazing. The product was revamped with a modern interface and the sending process improved significantly. The software is really robust.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
Looking back, the software was ideal for trained employeess. But since it's catered to enterprises, it's not as intuitive compared to its competitors (in terms of e-mail functionality). E-mail templates weren't anything spectacular and they lack some versatility. You're only limited to a single template per category. But just recently, IBM failed to provide pre-installed templates for editor use.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
We started making use of Silverpop as an ESP. But we're starting to use it constantly as a MAP thanks to key improvements made by IBM. Soon, we'll be integrating with Dynamics. This will be of big help to our Sales team as we can now see how MQLs make online interactions with our company.
