PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

It has everything we need for effective marketing. It helps us complement our email marketing efforts as it integrates well with Silverpop plugin. Since we over rely on email marketing to communicate with our customers, we can execute this with ease. We can also use this tool to integrate our CRM and thus better contact management for our customers. This way, we can send customized messages to boost our marketing efforts. Its API equips us with the relevant tools and opportunity to get ahead in our email marketing efforts as we can monitor their performance with ease.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Although it is a great marketing tool, it has a few disadvantages. The one that gave us a lot of headache is the learning curve. The user experience is complex due to the configuration of some of the functionalities of the tool. When we were getting started, it was hectic for our team as they could not find their way around some of the features in the dashboard. The configuration did not favor us and we spent a lot of time trying to figure out where or what to do. Even though we are out of the woods, it would be better if the developers configured those features in way that the user experience is simple.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We have become more of customer-centered with our marketing efforts thank to IBM marketing cloud. It has brought the need spark to our marketing campaigns. Though integration we can manage all our campaigns from a single point. Initially, we did not know what our customers wanted and thus we only provided what we thought they wanted. Luckily, this tool has made it possible for us to know what customers want and provide that and thus successful marketing efforts. When you compare with other similar tools, IBM marketing cloud has done it for us.
