What is iRise?

iRise is a collaborative prototyping and project requirements management platform designed for the development and agile teams of businesses and enterprises of all sizes.  These include product managers, software engineers, UX or user experience designers, business analysts, and QAs. Flexible and innovative, iRise helps teams create better applications and websites which designs, functionalities, and content provide a quality user experience.

iRise enables users to create prototypes that are responsive and interactive, and which demonstrate the actual experiences of end users and stakeholders when they use them. In short, these prototypes behave like real applications and websites.

In addition, the platform allows them to build, develop, and test their prototypes while having access to the requirements implemented within them. Thus, as they are prototyping, they will be able to view which requirements are being implemented by each screen and UI (user interface) element in their prototypes.

Users can also add comments and feedback directly on requirements, screens, and UI elements. Team members are automatically notified when changes are needed and when those changes are applied to their prototypes. iRise enables users to organize and prioritize project requirements and functional specifications that each screen and UI element in their prototypes should meet. Through the aid of its backlog management tool, teams will be able to organize and prioritize their project requirements that they derived from user stories. User stories are texts that contain information from end users, such as what software, applications, and websites they want;  why they want them, and how they want them to function.

Furthermore, iRise organizes requirements and user stories into cards that are arranged in a simple list or grid layout. This list also contains tasks and deliverables related to a project. By dragging and dropping cards down this list, users will be able to sort, filter, group, and prioritize the requirements, user stories, and tasks that their prototypes need to meet and implement.

As they build their prototypes and work on their individual UI elements and screens, they will be able to access text requirements and capture all the information they need. This includes functional specifications and descriptions. Thus, users will be able to capture their requirements virtually as they do their prototyping because these requirements are automatically associated with the individual UI elements and screens of their prototypes.

The prototyping feature allows users to select the fidelity level they want for their wireframes and prototypes. Wireframes are visual guides that show how a website or application will look like, how end users will interact with it, and how it will organize and send information.

Thus, users can choose how detailed their wireframes and prototypes will be. They will be able to build prototypes of apps with high-fidelity. This means these prototypes can include sample data, media, animation, navigation, and logic. Because of this, users can create interactive prototypes that behave like real applications, providing the user experience they intend to deliver.

Moreover, iRise enables users to create responsive prototypes. Thus, they will be able to come up with prototypes whose content behaves in line with the specifications they set in advance. As an example, they can configure breakpoints to specify how widgets will respond given a certain layout. Since end-users are using different types of browsers and mobile devices, the layout of widgets will be different for each type: tablets and smartphones..

To ensure that end users will be able to consume the information they need with the best possible widget layout, iRise offers the capability to set up margins, alignments, and widget’s responsive behavior.

iRise also provides collaboration features. One of which is that it ensures that all team members are working on the same screens and UI elements. Through @mentions users will be able to notify their teammates if there are some errors or issues that need be resolved, such as when there are some flaws in the UI design or when some functionalities are missed out. This feature can be used on comments that are added to requirements, screens, and UI elements.

The integration feature of iRise also promotes collaboration. iRise can be integrated with ALM platforms such as JIRA. So, when developers and QAs make updates on their prototypes,  users that are in charge of the requirements phase of the project who are using JIRA will be automatically notified. This is because it synchronizes information across the two platforms.
