What are the best aspects of this product?
Cisco Jabber works really well as a online messaging program. It is very easy to learn and use and also integrates very well with our other Cisco phone products such as Cisco CallManager. I also like the presence feature; it integrates with your Outlook calendar.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
One part I dislike is that there are not enough emoticons in Cisco Jabber. Also, I wish client updates could be done at the server level instead and that it was able to be integrated with other instant messaging programs like Yahoo Messenger or Google Hangouts so that you could chat with others on a different platform.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
This is much easier than picking up the phone and calling someone. I also like that it shows if a person is available or unavailable.
