What are the best aspects of this product?
It does help track issues and defects for software/frontend developers, but that is THE ONLY thing Jira does well. Its a NIGHTMARE for any other use case.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
Jira is a COMPLETE disaster when it comes to the onboarding process. Understanding what is going on within the tool is nearly impossible. Jira's strata of layers and how they are related actually HURTS daily users. Content/comments/changes are buried and often siloed in extensively convoluted pages and the hierarchy of parent/child page relationships is unnavigable. If the rest of the org did not rely so heavily on Jira, I would have insisted we drop the tool as SOON as possible.
What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?
NONE. I'd prefer to see Jira be rolled back by Atlassan and eventually discontinued.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
I'm not sure ANY problems have been solved by using Jira. I have actually experienced the OPPOSITE. Jira implementation as CAUSED more problems than it could possibly solve.
