What are the best aspects of this product?

It has made our work easier as we can build software for our clients and have them review them in real time. During the review process they can communicate with us on their experience so that we can know which adjustments to make. It also helps us to track defects and requirements of the applications we make so that we know we are on the same page with what our clients’ needs. Through such tracking processes we are able to develop or complete projects in an objective manner. It is a cloud based product which allows my team and me to stay on track and communicate effectively during the developmental stages of the application. On top of that, it can be configured to be compatible with web based products, which allows us to capture data on the web from our clients.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

There are always issues when it comes to using any application for your business or project processes. For the case of Jira it is no different. Even though their customer support is great as it is highly responsive the time it takes to resolve an issue is wanting. You have to wait for long before your issue is resolved and you can continue with using the product. It would be better if they could hire more technical support team members so that issues brought forward are taken care of within a short period. Also, there are frequent changes to the application which means you have to learn about the new features all over again. This can be frustrating especially when you have spent a lot of time learning the hurdles in the product only to have new things to deal with.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It has become an asset for my projects. I am able to communicate with the team during the developmental stages of the projects we are undertaking by focusing on the requirements and tracking defects so that we know we are on the right track. On the same case, we are able to communicate effectively with our clients when handling their projects. Some projects are tailored according to the needs of the client and thus you have to keep constant communication with them if you want to get the right results. There are also web based projects which we have created in Jira and we manage them from there. Through this web based platform, clients can view and review those applications and communicate with our team if there is a problem or a complement on the same.
