What are the best aspects of this product?
Firstly, KissMetrics defines the user flow, and then it reveals the flaws it has. All triggered events are being displayed on the handy dashboard, not just for the last week, but the last month as well. Drilling down to particular users and actions has been incredibly helpful, the same as having our history displayed at any moment. Don't tell me that Google Analytics can do that!
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
You’re designing your own flow, but you have to know it in advance. Each page/button should be labeled as an event, which can be really frustrating for stratups and small companies that don't have time for such robust and advanced web-management tracking. I, for instance, underestimated the importance of this, and I was therefore unable to track unlabeled issues I really needed.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
When you're operating online, knowing how people are using your site, and what exactly they're visiting, is crucial for attracting new users. At the same time, a program such as KissMetrics helps you understand where people are dropping off.
