
What are the best aspects of this product?
As a long-time user of Lansweeper, I must say that you should not underestimate this product's capability. What amazes me is its ability to track all the valuable information that concerns all our computers, printers, software, and other stuff. The system is always being updated to ensure that we can monitor all existing assets seamlessly. Should there be any significant issues, we don't have to worry anymore because their helpdesk team is just one call or ticket away. This tool is considered part of my company investment in the long run because it gives me essential reports that I would like to see weekly. The product's annual price is not considered cheap. Still, considering the things that it can do for the company, I would say it's pretty reasonable. As long as employees love using LANSweeper, then we are here to stay as clients.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
One way to address its users' recurring issues is by launching a ticket that goes straight to the helpdesk. As users, we are required to fill up multiple fields correctly for your request to push through and be addressed in less than 24 hours. If not, then the ticket gets rejected, and you're back on square one. Another issue is the inconsistent speed and performance of LANSweeper, depending on the server that they are currently using. As paying customers, I believe that we deserve to have a system that works fast and delivers results 24/7.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
One of the advantages of using Lansweeper is it reduces the time that we need to spend in creating quarterly budget reports for all of our equipment. Since the platform is always updated, it's easy to determine the number of units due for replacement and repair. The same thing applies to software licenses that need renewal before they are expected to expire. Also, LANSweeper helps us make sure that only the right software is installed on each computer, depending on the user's role or access. We need to make sure that we follow the correct deployment process all the time for security purposes.
