PROS & CONS

What are the best aspects of this product?

The most amazing thing about LibreOffice is that it's free and is an open-source software that can rival the MS Office. It looks like an office suite created for professional works and can compete with the GSuite. It has a word, excel, database, and powerpoint processor. It can also work natively with MAC, Linux, Or Windows and the user experience from one OS isn't much different from the others. The apps comprising LibreOffice are very lightweight but stable. The GUI has also improved a lot and is now looking great. The calc and writer apps can cover most of our professional needs all by themselves.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Compared to its MS Office equivalent, Base is several levels below. And it's quite disappointing. The icons are also not uniform for every app.The size itself can become an issue for icons because they're different from each other. And although Draw is personally very helpful to me, editing PDF files using it created an enormous amount of elements that it caused a seriously heavy lag.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We needed a word processor but can't afford the licenses offered by paid solutions. So we got LibreOffice instead. It can deliver the job without asking for a pay.
