Amazing office suite

What are the best aspects of this product?

I first used LibreOffice back when I was still a student so I really don't have any experience with other solutions to make a comparison with. Therefore, my evaluation is solely based on my experience with the app itself. To start with, LibreOffice is an office solution that contains a processor for presentations, slides, simple database, word, and spreadsheet. Now that I'm a professional and is using this for my work, I actually don't feel the need for installing a paid solution because all the features I require are covered by this program. Also, I'd admit that there's quite a steep learning curve for this software, especially for the inexperienced ones. On the technical level, it's stable. But there are occurrences of a crash due to hardware, power, or software failure. However, you don't need to concern yourself with lost data because there's a useful recovery tool for that.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

All apps have negative sides on them and LibreOffice is no exception. For my money, here are the aspects that this software needs improvement upon GUI and Macros. The interface, the icons, in particular, are inconsistent and aren't uniform with each other. Some are bigger and others are not descriptive. As for the Macros, the learning curve is definitely the steepest around here and it must be taken into account by the developer. They could strive to make this simpler somehow.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I'm using LibreOffice both for my personal and professional works. Using Calc and Writer apps for accounting and document processing. And both of them performs as expected, especially the Calc. That one's powerful.
